Where is The Hokulani at Papakea located?
The Hokulani at Papakea – K407 is located at Papakea Resort on the Kaʻanapali Coast of West Maui, close to beautiful beaches, restaurants, shopping, and many of West Maui’s favorite destinations.

Does the condo have ocean views?

The Hokulani at Papakea offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from the condo and private lanai. K Building is set slightly back from Papakea’s front-most oceanfront buildings, giving you lovely ocean views while still being just a short walk through the resort grounds to the water’s edge.

How many guests can the condo accommodate?

The condo accommodates up to 6 guests, with two bedrooms and additional sleeping accommodations in the living area.

How many bathrooms are there?
There are two full bathrooms.

Is there air conditioning?
Yes. The condo has a split air-conditioning system in the main living area that cools the living space and loft, plus a separate portable air-conditioning unit in the primary bedroom.

Is there a fully equipped kitchen?
Yes. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen, making it easy to prepare everything from a quick breakfast to dinner at home. We also have 2 coffee makers, including a single serve machine.  Papakea also offers outdoor BBQ areas for guest use.

Is there a washer and dryer?
Yes. A private washer and dryer are located inside the condo.

Does the condo have Wi-Fi?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for guests.

Is there a beach at Papakea Resort?
Papakea sits directly on the ocean and has a seawall along much of the resort frontage. A swimmable sandy beach is immediately adjacent to the resort, giving guests convenient beach access while still enjoying Papakea’s beautiful oceanfront setting.

What beach gear is provided with the condo?

We provide several beach essentials for you to enjoy during your stay, including four beach chairs, a beach umbrella, coolers, a couple of boogie boards, and children’s life vests. Just grab what you need and head out for a day at one of West Maui’s beautiful beaches!

Can you swim and snorkel nearby?
Yes. West Maui offers wonderful swimming and snorkeling when ocean conditions permit. Nearby favorites include Kaʻanapali Beach, Black Rock, Napili Bay, Kapalua Bay, and Honolua Bay. Always check current ocean conditions and follow posted safety information before entering the water.

Does Papakea have pools and hot tubs?
Yes. Papakea has two swimming pools and two spas surrounded by beautifully landscaped tropical grounds.

What other amenities does Papakea offer?
Papakea offers tennis and pickleball courts, putting greens, shuffleboard, BBQ areas, swimming pools and spas, tropical gardens, and expansive oceanfront lawns.

Does Papakea Resort have a fitness center or gym?
Papakea Resort does not have an on-site fitness center; however, the resort offers a variety of recreational and fitness activities. Guests who would like access to a traditional gym can visit the fitness center at the neighboring Kaʻanapali Shores Resort, which offers daily and weekly passes.

Is parking available?
Yes. Parking for the first vehicle is complimentary. A second vehicle may be subject to an additional resort parking fee.

What essentials are provided in the condo?
We provide a selection of everyday essentials to make your stay more comfortable, including beach towels, paper towels, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. The condo is also equipped with linens and bath towels.

Is there an elevator to the fourth floor?
Yes. The K Building has an elevator providing convenient access to the fourth floor. Luggage and grocery carts are also available near the elevator on the ground level, making it easier to transport luggage and groceries to the condo.

What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

Are children welcome?
Yes. Families with children are welcome.

Are pets allowed?
No. Papakea does not permit pets, except qualifying service animals as required by law.

Is smoking allowed?
No. K407 is a non-smoking property, and smoking is not permitted inside the condo or on the lanai. Please use only designated smoking areas on the resort property.

What is the minimum stay?
Minimum stays vary by season. Most dates require a 3-night minimum, while holidays and certain peak periods may require longer stays. The online availability calendar will display the applicable minimum stay for your selected dates.

What additional charges should I expect?
In addition to the nightly rental rate, reservations include a $200 cleaning fee and applicable Hawaiʻi State and Maui County lodging taxes. Your complete price will be displayed before booking.

How much is required to reserve the condo?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is due 3 days before arrival.

Can I book directly through this website?
Yes. You can check current availability and book your stay directly through our website. Our availability calendar is synchronized with our other booking platforms to help keep availability current.

What is the cancellation policy?
Guests receive a 100% refund when canceling at least 14 days before check-in and a 50% refund when canceling 7–14 days before check-in. Cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in are non-refundable.

Do I need a rental car?
A rental car is not absolutely necessary, but we recommend one if you plan to explore Maui. Having a car makes it much easier to visit beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, and destinations beyond the immediate West Maui area.

How far is Papakea from the airport?
Most guests arrive through Kahului Airport (OGG). Drive time to Papakea is typically about an hour or more depending on traffic and road conditions. Kapalua Airport (JHM) is much closer to the resort.

Can I see whales from the property?
During Maui’s winter whale season, humpback whales are frequently seen in the waters off West Maui. The oceanfront location and private lanai provide wonderful opportunities for seasonal whale watching, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.
