Map, Directions & Access

The Hokulani at Papakea – K407 is located at Papakea Resort on Maui’s beautiful Kaʻanapali Coast, convenient to beaches, dining, shopping and many of West Maui’s favorite destinations.

Directions from From Kahului Airport (OGG)

Most guests arrive through Kahului Airport. Papakea is approximately 30 miles from OGG, and driving time is typically around an hour, depending on traffic.

From the airport, follow signs toward West Maui and Lahaina via Highway 380 and Honoapiilani Highway (HI-30). Continue past the Kaʻanapali resort area toward Honokowai, then turn onto Lower Honoapiilani Road. Papakea Resort will be on your left.

Travel tip: We recommend using your preferred navigation app on arrival for current traffic conditions and the best route rather than relying solely on printed directions.

From Kapalua Airport (JHM)

Kapalua Airport is much closer to Papakea—roughly a 10-minute drive under normal conditions.

Follow Honoapiilani Highway toward Honokowai/Kaʻanapali and turn onto Lower Honoapiilani Road for Papakea Resort.

Parking

Complimentary parking is available for one vehicle. When you register at reception, you’ll receive a parking permit to display in your vehicle. We recommend parking near K Building for convenient access to K407.

A second vehicle may currently park on the property for $5 per day, collected by the resort and subject to change.

Luggage carts are available near the elevator for your convenience.

Arrival & Check-In

Check-in time: 4:00 PM

When you arrive at Papakea Resort, please stop at Reception to register and receive the resort information you’ll need for your stay. Current reception hours are 6:00 AM–11:00 PM daily.

Detailed check-in and unit-access instructions will be provided to you before your arrival.

Arriving Late?

If you expect to arrive after reception closes, don’t worry. Papakea has 24-hour security, and after-hours arrivals can be assisted at the resort.

We’ll provide the appropriate after-hours arrival instructions with your pre-arrival information so you’ll know exactly what to do.

Renting a Car

For most guests, I would recommend having a rental car. It gives you much more freedom to explore West Maui and the rest of the island at your own pace. Rideshare and taxi services can also be useful, but a car makes beach days, grocery runs and exploring Kapalua and beyond much easier.

Once you arrive, settle in, step onto the lanai, and let Maui take it from there. 🌴
